AVANTIS MELITIS

Muscat white 100%

Since antiquity Greece has been well known for its great sweet wines. Evia can compete other Aegean islands like Samos or Limnos with Melitis, the sweet wine  whose astonishing acidity is a case study of how a wine can be as sweet as it takes, but not too much.

TECHNICAL SHEET

Sweet Table Wine

Variety
Muscat white 100%

Location
Mytikas, Evia

Vinification
Grapes reach the optimum ripeness. The small quantity of must collected is fortified,
then it is partially fermented and is kept in French barrels 225lt. each for a while.

Bright gold colour. Complex, concentrated aroma of roses, honey, orange blossom,
herbs with nuance of butter candy. Adequately sweet palate supported by high acidity, full body,
pronounced flavour intensity of roses, honey, peach, caramel, candy, toffee and butter. Silky texture and long finish.
